v1.0Cookies are small text files that websites visited by users send to their devices (computer, tablet, smartphone), where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same websites on subsequent visits. Cookies are used for various purposes, including enabling navigation between pages, storing user preferences and improving the browsing experience.
The LifeComp Explorer portal uses the following types of cookies: a) Technical/necessary cookies (always active) These are cookies essential for the correct operation of the portal. They include cookies that store cookie preferences, the session identifier for consent logging and the session identifier for self-assessment. These cookies do not require user consent as they are strictly necessary for service delivery. b) Third-party analytics cookies (require consent) The portal uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, which uses cookies to collect information in aggregate and anonymous form about the use of the portal. The user's IP address is anonymised. These cookies are only installed after the user has given consent via the cookie banner.
On first access to the portal, the user is shown an informative cookie banner with the following options: - "Accept all": installs all cookies, including analytics. - "Reject non-essential": installs only necessary technical cookies. - "Customize": allows the user to choose individual cookie categories to accept. Preferences are recorded in the lc_consent cookie and in the database in anonymous form to fulfil the obligation to document consent. Users can change their preferences at any time by clicking the cookie preferences icon in the bottom-left corner of every page.
Analytics cookies are provided by Google LLC (Google Analytics). Google may transfer collected information to countries outside the European Union, based on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Technical cookies are installed on the basis of the controller's legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Analytics cookies are installed exclusively with the user's prior consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), expressed via the cookie banner.
